What is an Impacted Wisdom Tooth?
An impacted wisdom tooth is very common in young adults. This condition happens because there is not enough room in the mouth for the tooth to come out like the rest of the teeth in your mouth. When wisdom teeth come in at an angle, either towards other molars or the back of the mouth, then the tooth can become impacted. The partially erupted tooth can put pressure on the adjacent tooth which causes pain.
